Throw down your pom-poms

Today I’m feeling blessed. I’m feeling inspired. I’ve had opportunities to talk with several remarkable women in the media industry this morning, and I’m in awe.

I have always believed that men and women can pursue any career path they choose. I’ve realized, though, that while I simply accept the fact that human beings — regardless of race, gender, etc. — can become whomever they want, sometimes I have a hard time believing this about myself.
Sometimes, as I’m guessing many of us do, I think I stand in my own way when it comes to pursing my dreams — whether they be learning to french braid my hair (my hands end up in knots and my shoulders ache before I even get past the crown of my head) or becoming the editor of a bridal magazine (I know more about planning a wedding than any single gal should).
Do you ever feel this way?
If you don’t, please share your secret to success. If you do, you may enjoy this video from one of the women I’ve had the privilege to get to know recently.
